Kid Pitch encompasses AAA and Majors with evaluations in the fall to determine the level of placement.
“AAA” division, which continues to have a developmental focus while introducing players to game rules that more closely approximate the standard Little League rules that players in the Major League follows.
Major League program provides players ages 10-12 with the opportunity to continue their development in a more competitive environment. Teams play a 12-14 game regular season schedule that culminates in an exciting playoff series to crown an eventual town champion.
FALL EVALUATIONS
First, determine your players age. Your player’s age is how they are as of August 31, 2025. For example, if your son turns 10 on May 1, 2025, he is baseball age 10 for the upcoming spring 2025 season. If he turns 10 on September 1, 2025, he is 9 for the upcoming season.
Players that NEED an evaluation:
- Any player that is new to ABSA – A player age 10-12 should attend a majors evaluation. A player age 8-9 should attend a AAA evaluation.
- Any player age 10-11, that was not in majors last year that wants to be considered for majors this year, must attend a majors evaluation
- Any player age 8-11, that was not in AAA last year that wants to be considered for AAA this year, must attend a AAA evaluation.
Who does not need to attend an evaluation?
- Any player returning to majors that played in majors last year.
- Any player returning to AAA that played in AAA last year (in other words, if you are 10-11, played AAA last year, and do not want to be considered for majors)

- Any returning player age 12 (unless parents are not comfortable with the player in the majors division)
